The Pennsylvania side of this map collection adds a stock-sharing mechanism to the base Ticket to Ride game.
Each time a player completes a route, they claim a share of one of the companies represented alongside that route. At the end of the game, whoever holds more shares in a company than all other players receives bonus points.
The United Kingdom side of this collection introduces the concept of technology to Ticket to Ride. At the start of the game, players may only build routes of one or two trains, and only within England.
By spending wild cards, players gain the ability to build routes of three or more trains, as well as construct ferries across water and rail lines in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
Players may also purchase bonus cards that allow them to score additional points by performing certain actions during the game. The gameplay takes place at the dawn of the railway era, and the title thus applies to the entire United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
